Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our software development team in South Africa. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software quality assurance, with experience in testing software applications and developing test plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Collaborate with software developers to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
- Create and maintain documentation of test results and defects.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas of risk.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of code.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Ensure compliance with software development standards and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
- Experience in developing and executing test plans.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience in working with automated testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work full-time or half-time, based on business needs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts is a plus.
